The Internet has also changed the way society treats people and the balance of power. Internet has forever changed the world in both positive and negative ways. The Internet enables one to find information any time of day, as well as provides convenience with regard to such activities as paying bills. On the other hand, the accessibility of pornography and false information and the occurrence of pop-ups on the Internet serve as negative effects. The Internet today is in many ways seen as an essential to life. It is used in the workplace, school and home. With the invention of the Internet the world was forever changed in both good a bad ways. Many positive results have come from the invention of the Internet. One positive that has resulted from the Internet is the fact that you are always able to access research information anytime of the day or night.

IANA (1969)
-The 'Internet Assigned Numbers Authority' is the entity that oversees global IP address allocation, autonomous system number allocation, root zone management in the Domain Name System (DNS), media types, and other Internet Protocol-related symbols and numbers.

IAB (1979)
-The 'Internet Architecture Board' is the committee charged with oversight of the technical and engineering development of the Internet by the Internet Society.

IESG (1986)
-The 'Internet Engineering Steering Group' is responsible for technical management of IETF activities and the Internet standards process. It administers the process according to the rules and procedures that have been ratified by the ISOC trustees

IRTF (1986)
-The 'Internet Research Task Force' is to conduct research into the long term future of the Internet. The IRTF is guided by the Internet Research Steering Group, and is composed of a number of small research groups that work on the development of the Internet protocols, applications, architecture, and technology.

IETF (1986)
-The 'Internet Engineering Task Force' develops and promotes Internet standards, cooperating closely with the W3C and ISO/IEC standards bodies and dealing in particular with standards of the TCP/IP and Internet protocol suite.

ISOC (1992)
-The 'Internet Society' is an international, nonprofit organization founded during 1992 to provide direction in Internet related standards, education, and policy. It states that its mission is "to assure the open development, evolution and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world".

InterNIC (1993)
-The 'Internet Network Information Center' known as InterNIC, was the Internet governing body primarily responsible for domain name and IP address allocations.

ICANN (1998)
-The 'Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers' is responsible for managing the Internet Protocol address spaces (IPv4 and IPv6) and assignment of address blocks to regional Internet registries, for maintaining registries of Internet protocol identifiers, and for the management of the top-level domain name space (DNS root zone), which includes the operation of root nameservers.

What made the internet reliable and efficient?
-It stays connected. A good connection will stay on for as long as you want it to. The connection has a good speed, at least a speed close to what the service company advertises.

What principles applied in the Internet that could also be beneficial in other areas?
-It is important for communicating purposes, transmitting datas and more. Gaining access to the things that you need the most accurately, tho its not that much concrete when you serach for something, it gives you lots of options and results instantly as long you have a good connection

Explain TCP/IP Protocol Suite (Internet Model)
-It is a basic communication language or protocol of the Internet. It can also be used as a communications protocol in a private network. Describes a set of general design guidelines and implementations of specific networking protocols to enable computers to communicate over a network, also provides end-to-end connectivity specifying how data should be formatted, addressed, transmitted, routed and received at the destination. Protocols exist for a variety of different types of communication services between computers. Also it provides acknowledge connection-oriented communications and provides guaranteed delivery proper sequencing and data integrity checks. Used to connect hosts on the Internet. TCP/IP uses several protocols, the two main ones being TCP and IP.
